GVEA is making strides to provide enhanced customer service to our members. The first step for these enhancements has to do with the phone system, which will provide a new menu to incoming callers.
The changes to the phone system will setup GVEA for the next two enhancements:
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system; and
- Outage Management System (OMS)
These two systems work in tandem and will finally bring GVEA into the 21st century, taking full advantage of the technology that’s currently available.
The IVR system will allow members access to their account 24 hours a day / 7 days a week … hence the “Access 24/7” tag line that you’ll soon see on a regular basis.
The first step in making sure GVEA can provide the best service possible is to make sure we have current contact information on file. Therefore, it’s very important that your contact information is updated and remains current. So each time there’s a change made to a phone number and/or email address, please include GVEA on your update notifications.
